Learners can:

Part 4 Reflection

• We already filled in information about the characters, conflicts, setting, and point of view.

• Today we are going to fill in a new character, at least 2 more conflicts, and at least one theme

• In a previous lesson, we filled in information about the rising action

• Today we will fill in two more pieces of the rising action

Narrative Elements and Plot

• At this point we have met all the main characters in the book

• Types of characters

  • Static: characters stay the same

  • Dynamic: characters grow and change

  • Flat: character is not describes with much detail

  • Round: described with great detail, we see multiple aspects of the character

Writing: Creating Your Presentation

Learners can:

• create a slideshow that uses images and text to engage the audience

• Open your script, it is okay if it isn't finished yet!

• If you need a blank copy of the script template, you can download it on page 2 of today's edio lesson

• Remember, a PSA is a message meant to teach an audience about an important cause or topic

• One way to keep audiences engaged is to present your information clearly in a visually appealing way

• Over the next few days in class, you will have time to work on these slides.

• Then, you will have two full lesson days to make any last-minute edits and to record your voice-over before submitting

Getting Started

• The rest of class is time to start working on your presentation, spend at least 25 minutes working and don't forget to save your work!!!

• Download the slides under the first plus sign on page 4 of your edio lesson

• Your slides should be arranged in the same order as your script. Each slide should represent a paragraph of your script.

• You should copy and paste your text from the script into the speaker notes on each slide. This will be your script for the voice-over
