The two pie charts illustrate the proportion of UK tourists visiting Spain by age in 1983 and 2003.

In 1983, half of the visitors were aged 35–54, making this the most dominant group. This was followed by the 25–34 and 55+ brackets, which accounted for 20% and 16% of the total respectively. Tourists aged 0–15 made up 10%, while those aged 16–24 represented the smallest share at only 4%.

By 2003, although the percentage of tourists aged 35–54 had dropped to 35%, it still remained the largest group. The 25–34 group also saw a moderate decline, falling to 12%. In contrast, all other groups experienced growth. The 55+ category rose significantly to 26%, becoming the second most common. Meanwhile, the proportion of tourists aged 16–24 nearly quadrupled to 15%, and the 0–15 group increased slightly to 12%.
