What is Condensation?
Condensation is the change from a gas into a liquid, which means it loses heat from the surroundings. This happens when warm air touches the colder surface and it formed water droplets.
5
What is Evaporation?
Evaporation is the process in which a liquid gains heat and changes into water vapor.
6
Water vapor
Water vapor is liquid (or water) in gaseous state. It is colourless. We cannot see it although it's in the air.
7
Multiple Choice
Condensation involves a change of state from ___ to ___
Liquid to Solid
Liquid to Gaseous
Solid to Liquid
Gaseous to Liquid

Reorder
Reorder the following steps and processes you can use to separate sand from salt.
Then, write the answers in your SB Worksheet copy
Pour water into the salt and sand mixture.
The salt dissolves in the water and you end up with a solution.
Then, the sand can be separated from the solution by fi ltration.
Finally, the salt can be separated from the water by evaporation.
