Caring for your keyboard

Your MIDI keyboard is a musical instrument like any other that requires care!

Helpful Tips:

  • Keep it in a safe space!

  • Save the box your keyboard came in to use as a case!

  • Treat with respect! Do not slam or drop them!

  • Plug in the cord carefully and correctly. Do not force anything.

  • Store the cord with the keyboard so it does not get lost.

Poll

Where will you store your keyboard after today's class?

All answers are correct. Just pick the one that works best for you!

My keyboard will stay on my desk plugged in and ready for our next music class.

I will put my keyboard AND CORD back in the box between classes.

I'm not sure, but I will make sure that the keyboard is safe and that I do not lose the cord.

I don't have the box anymore, but I have a safe place to store the keybaord AND CORD away from pets and siblings.

I am using my own piano or keyboard, so my MIDI keyboard will be in the box ready to travel if I'm ever not at home.

Coffee Chat

At the end of every class, I will remain on the call for 5 minutes for anyone who would like to have a chat about all things music! Share your favorite artists, songs, and give recommendations to your classmates and teacher! Share any concert experiences you have had or are looking forward to or hope to see! This is OPTIONAL but will be a fun mini session. (No coffee is required either).
