Static Stretches:
-What you do to get your body ready for doing exercise
-Makes your heart rate and breathing go up
-Makes your body warmer by boosting the amount of blood and oxygen that goes to your muscles
Warm-up:
-A way to slow your body down after you exercise
-Should include gentle movement and stretching
-Helps to prevent injuries

Exercises that strengthen your heart and lungs
Your heart and lungs work together to deliver oxygen to your muscles.
Examples: running, swimming, jumping rope, dancing, and walking.
Aerobic
Exercises that help your body build muscles
Examples: squats, planks, pushups, and lifting weights.
Strength
Exercises that lengthen your muscles and help your joints and muscles move more fully
Examples: any kind of stretching and yoga

Finding Your Heart Rate
Your resting heart rate is the number of times your heart beats in one minute while you are relaxed (sitting or lying down).
The average resting heart rate for kids your age is 70-110 beats per minute.

Your active heart rate is the number of times your heart beats in one minute while you are exercising or just after exercising.
