Character Motivation

A character’s motivation is the reason they take a particular action and can be internal, external, or a mix of both.  To identify a character's motivation, make an inference based on evidence about why the character behaves a certain way by thinking about how the character thinks, acts, and speaks.

It can be internal or external.
