Since the events or characters are not real, authors must use their writing to create a picture in the reader's mind.

Even though fantasy stories may include magical lands and interesting creatures, the characters still face problems. Authors may include problems that only exist in a fantasy world but they still require a solution. Remember problem and solution in fiction is called Conflict and Resolution.

  1. ​How would you describe the characters (brave, energetic, friendly, sneaky, rude)?

  2. How do the characters get along with each other?

  4. Does the conflict get resolved? If so, who or what helps resolve the character's conflict?

  5. How does the character change in the end?
