Importance

Organisations spend large amounts of money developing designs, products and inventions that are unique to them.

They will then sell these products to earn money to make a profit. If a rival were to seal or copy the company's ideas, it could damage them financially or put them out of business.

When using other peoples products, you must either pay for the licence, ask permission and give attribution to the source.
