Pengertian Present Continuous Tense

Present continuous tense merupakan salah satu bentuk tense yang digunakan untuk menjelaskan aktivitas yang sedang dilakukan atau sedang berlangsung saat ini atau sekarang (present).

contoh kalimat dalam present continuous tense berdasarkan situasinya. 

 Situasi di mana suatu kejadian tengah berlangsung sekarang.

Contoh : Mr. Mandala is making dinner right now. (Tuan Mandala sedang memasak makan malam sekarang.)

Rumus Present continuous Tense :
subjek + kata kerja bantu (auxiliary verb) yaitu be dalam bentuk am/are/is + Verb-ing + complement atau pelengkap. 

 contoh :

I ( subject ) + am { kata kerja bantu (auxiliary verb) } + reading ( Verb ( kata kerja )+ ing ) + since book (compleent )

Contoh kalimat negatif present continuous tense:

• I am not watching Netflix. (Aku tidak sedang menonton Netflix.)

• Andini is not riding a bicycle. (Andini tidak sedang mengendarai sepeda.)

• They are not dancing in the rain. (Mereka tidak sedang menari di bawah hujan)

• The Zebras are not crossing the river. (Para Zebra itu tidak sedang menyebrangi sungai)

• He is not writing an English article. (Dia tidak sedang menulis sebuah artikel bahasa Inggris.)
