What is the internet

The internet is a global network that connects millions of computers all over the world. It allows us to communicate, research, and share. The origin of the word internet is from inter- ‘reciprocal, mutual’ + network.

To get the right results, there are a few steps to follow...

Look for websites that end with the following:

" .edu, .gov or .org".
These are usually trustworthy.

Search the right place

To narrow search results further, you can exclude specific words. It will help when not making a general search

Do not share personal info life your name, phone number [when you get one], address, passwords, pictures of people, etc. Also, if a stranger finds a way to communicate with you, report to a trusted [and qualified] adult. Use websites that are safe and age-appropriate.
