-Jax read the plaque at the base of the statue and it said that the man was " Pedro Menéndez de Aviles". He establisjed the Santa Elena colony in 1566, and served as the govenor of La Florida until his death in 1574".

Mac shared with the kids that many Native American jewelry was carved out of bones.
The Native Americans were not wasteful and would use animal meat for food, the skin for clothing and shelter, and bones for tools and jewelry.
