Use capital letters with the following words:

People's names

​First, middle and last names of a person are written with capital letters.

Example:

​Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter

Titles

​As they indicate a status or profession, titles are written with capital letter.

​Mr. Bean

​Doctor Gray

​Countries

As they are proper nouns, the have to be capitalized.

​Mexico

​Japan

​Cities & places

If you are using the name of a place or city, capitalize it.

New York

Lake Victoria

Nationalities & languages

In English, nationalities and languages are capitalized.

Days, months & holidays
