Slavery in the Americas
*Sugar Tobacco was the main crop cultivated by slave labors. Very important to the economy.
*Plantation owners did not use Native American labor because they were killed off by European disease and the constant and horrible labor conditions. The Native Americans were more likely to run away.
*Slaves form Africa had immunity to European diseases, they had farm experience, and they had no homes to run to.
*The three points of the triangle trade were the American Colonies, West Indies, and Africa.
*The middle passage was between Africa and the Americas.
*A maroon was an escaped lave in Latin America
