Verb Tenses

Verb Tenses

When you are editing your writing, check that you have used the correct tense.

Past tense

• Shows actions that have already happened

• Usually add -ed to the end of the verb

Present Tense

• Show actions that are happening now

• Usually add -s or -ing to the verb

Future tense

• Show actions that will happen in the future

• Add will before the verb
