​What is a typhoon?

​A typhoon is a big, strong storm that brings lots of rain and strong wind.

It looks like a giant spinning cloud in the sky. Typhoons usually happen in the summer or fall.

Where do typhoons happen?

Typhoons happen over the ocean, then move toward places like South Korea, Japan, and the Philippines.

What happens during a typhoon?

• It rains a lot.

• The wind blows hard.

• Sometimes the power goes out.
