What is "To Be"?

• "To Be" adalah salah satu kata kerja paling dasar dalam bahasa Inggris.

• Digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan sesuatu, menyatakan identitas, atau lokasi.

• Dalam bentuk present tense, "To Be" punya 3 saudara: am, is, are.

Setiap bentuk "To Be" punya pasangan setia

"To Be" and Its Partners (Pronouns)

Contoh:

• The apple is red. (Warna)

• They are kind. (Sifat)

• I am hungry. (Kondisi)

Untuk memberitahu bagaimana sesuatu adalah (sifat/kondisi).

Mudah sekali! Cukup pindahkan "am/is/are" ke awal kalimat.

• Pernyataan: She is happy.
