Procedures for using Classroom Library

By JENNIFER CHURCH

Find your book!

  1. You can explore Booksource and then find the book in the library, or find the book in the library first.

  2. Use the rulers to mark where the book was while you decide if it is the book you want to read. I suggest reading a few pages before deciding.

  3. When you are sure, check your book out in Booksource and return the ruler.

  4. Treat the book with care

  5. Return the book to the blue basket-and that's it!

    1. Do NOT re-shelve

    2. Do NOT check it back in using Booksource

  2. You may treat the books as you would any library book, you can even take it home

  3. Do NOT shove, drop, fold, bend, or treat the books in any way that might damage them.

  4. If you lose or damage a book, you may lose check out privileges.

7

Checking Out a Book

  1. Click on your name

  2. Click on Check Out Books

  3. Most books have a barcode you can scan to check out your book. To use this, click on the camera in the search bar and hold the bar code up to the camera until it scans the barcode.

  4. If a book doesn't have a barcode, or the barode won't scan, you will have to search for the book.

    1. To search, its best to put in the author's name or key words. It can be picky about spelling, so if you don't find a book, try using fewer words from the title and double check your spelling before asking for help.

  5. Always double check to make sure the book you are checking out matches the book you have.
