Introduction
In this modern era, technology is evolving rapidly and social media has become a daily part of most people’s lives. Teenagers, in particular, are the largest group of users. From TikTok to Instagram, they use these platforms to stay connected, entertained, and informed. Body Paragraph 1 (Benefits)
To begin with, social media allows teenagers to stay connected (1) and develop their communication skills (2). (Topic Sentence) Teenagers often use platforms like WhatsApp or Instagram to keep in touch with friends and even make new ones across the world. This helps build their confidence in expressing themselves. Additionally, social media offers access to educational content, motivational speakers, and news updates that can broaden their perspectives. Some even use it to grow small businesses or share their creativity. (Supporting Details) As such, social media can be a powerful tool for learning, networking, and self-expression. (Concluding Sentence)

Body Paragraph 2 (Cons)
On the other hand, excessive social media use can be harmful to a teenager’s mental and emotional well-being. (Topic Sentence) Many teenagers compare themselves to influencers online, leading to low self-esteem, body image issues, and even depression. Moreover, cyberbullying is a serious concern as many hide behind anonymous profiles to send hurtful messages. Teenagers may also become addicted to screen time, which reduces their ability to concentrate on studies or get enough sleep. (Supporting Details) Therefore, while social media has benefits, its misuse can be extremely damaging to a teenager’s overall development. (Concluding Sentence)

Conclusion
In conclusion, social media can benefit teenagers by providing them with opportunities for learning and connection, but it also exposes them to risks like addiction, cyberbullying, and mental health struggles. (Restate Thesis) Rather than banning social media altogether, schools and parents should guide teenagers on responsible usage, such as setting screen time limits and reporting harmful content. This balanced approach is more effective in helping teenagers use social media wisely and safely. (Suggestions/Advice)
