It is raining in Boise and snowing in Boston.

Wind moves from areas of low pressure to areas of high pressure.

Wind is caused by the rotation of Earth alone and is not affected by air pressure differences.

Wind moves from areas of high pressure to low pressure to try and balance the pressure difference.

Wind only occurs when air pressure is equal across all regions, allowing air to move freely.

Air pressure increases because the air becomes denser at higher elevations.
