Readers can better understand a text when they look beyond the words and consider the "why" behind the text.
Author's purpose and perspective

Subjective= based in opinion or emotion
When an author wants to share their thoughts and opinions, they will use words and phrases that will show their selected opinion.
Subjective Writing
Objective=based on facts and proven information
If an author wants to focus on their topic and NOT their personal thoughts, they won't use emotional language or opinion phrases.

Some schools have moved to a late start Monday but nobody likes it. There are schools in other states that just have a 4-day school week, and that works better. While my school struggles with changing schedules, other schools are thriving with the shorter week.
