Maintenance
(45–64): In this stage, the focus is on maintaining one's position in the career. Individuals may feel they have reached their peak or become stagnant and might consider new learning opportunities or changing direction.
Decline
(65+): This stage involves preparing for retirement and beginning to disengage from the workforce. Interests shift to other activities, such as part-time work, volunteering, travel, or spending time with family and friends.
