Definition

Modal Auxiliary Verbs adalah kata kerja bantu yang digunakan untuk menunjukkan kemampuan (ability), izin (permission), kemungkinan (possibility), atau keharusan (obligation).

Modal verbs tidak berubah bentuk, dan tidak perlu tambahan -s/-es walaupun subjeknya tunggal.

1. CAN – Ability (Kemampuan)

🔹 Fungsi:

Menunjukkan kemampuan atau keahlian seseorang.

🔹 Contoh Kalimat:

• I can swim.

• I can read.

• I can do anything.

2. MAY – Permission (Izin)

🔹 Fungsi:
