His name is Jiro Ono.
He had his 100th birthday on October 27th.
He said he wants to keep working because he believes work is good for his health.
Mr. Ono said, “The best medicine is to work.”
He plans to work for five more years.
Jiro Ono was born in 1925.
He started working in a restaurant when he was seven years old.
Later, he moved to Tokyo and became a sushi chef.
He opened his own restaurant, Sukiyabashi Jiro, in 1965.
It is a small restaurant in Ginza, a famous area of Tokyo.
In 2007, his restaurant got three stars in the Michelin Guide, a book that gives awards to the best restaurants.
In 2011, a movie about him called “Jiro Dreams of Sushi” was made.
He said in the movie, “I haven’t made perfect sushi yet, but I will keep trying.”
