​Hack the STAAR Ecosystem box

Get a STAAR reference paper.

Today you will learn to brain dump what you knwo about ecosystems onto a box on the STAAR reference paper. We are building this slowly and if you practice doing this at home until you remember it then you can create it on the paper provided in class before you test and before the STAAR. It is proven to help you do better on testing.

Fold the paper in half as shown.

​Open the paper back up

Fold the paper up toward the bottom line as shown.

Open the paper back up and work in the upper left corner box.

​​Divide the box that I pointed at in half, by drawing a line.

​​Now divide the half of the box on the right in half as shown.

The next slide shows you how to do this step by step.

​​This is the top right of the box you divided. Copy the trophic levels and label as shown.

This is the lower right box you divided. Copy the arrow and write "Shows the direction of energy flow."

This is the left side of the box you divided. Copy this list of words and what they might mean next to them.

Your completed notes should look like this, but neater and on colored paper. Make sure you put your name on this paper and submit a screenshot of your notes to canvas today. Take the sheet home to study.
