Welcome to the world of Micro:bits!

We are going to explore something called a Micro:bit to introduce you to the world of block-based coding! The great thing about block-based coding is that you don't really need to know anything about computer science or coding to get started! Watch the video on the next slide to learn more about the Micro:bit before we begin!

Using a "Virtual Micro:bit"

In the video, you saw that Micro:bits are physical devices. However, using MakeCode.com, we can program a "virtual" device instead!

Complete your Challenge!

On makecode.microbit.org, select one of the tutorials or games, and then complete the tasks to make your virtual micro:bit do the same thing. Every tutorial and game gives you step-by-step instructions on what to do in order to correctly code your virtual micro:bit.

Once you have finished coding, take a screenshot of your code and submit the image on Schoology. If your code works, you'll receive credit for this challenge!
