​FUTURE SIMPLE (WILL)

El Future Simple se usa para hablar sobre cosas que pasarán más adelante, en el futuro.

En español significa “yo haré algo”, “ella irá”, “ellos comerán”, etc.

​¿Qué es el Future Simple?

En inglés usamos la palabra WILL para expresar el futuro.

Ejemplos en español → inglés:

• “Ellos estudiarán mañana.” → They will study tomorrow.

• “Ella correrá en el parque.” → She will run in the park.

​Estructura del Future Simple

Afirmativa (Positive)
Estructura

English: Subject + will + verb (base form) + complement.
Español: Sujeto + will + verb (forma base) + complemento.
→ will nunca cambia.
→ el verbo siempre va en su forma base, SIN “s”, SIN “-ing”, SIN cambios.

Examples:

Comparación español – inglés:
En español cambiamos el verbo:

• jugaré, jugarás, jugará…
  En inglés NO cambia, solo añadimos will.

• I will play. (Yo jugaré).

• She will eat. (Ella comerá).

• They will study. (Ellos estudiarán).

Negativa (Negative)
Estructura:

English: Subject + will not + verb (base form)+ complement.
Español: Sujeto + will not + verbo (forma base) + complemento.
→ Will not = won’t (contracción).

Examples:

Comparación español – inglés:
En español cambiamos el verbo:

• Jugaré, jugarás, jugará…
  En inglés NO cambia, solo añadimos will.

• I will not play / I won’t play.
  (Yo no jugaré).

• He will not listen / He won’t listen.
  (Él no escuchará).

• She will not travel / Shewon’t travel.
  (Ella no viajará).

1. I will read a book.
   Yo leeré un libro.

2. She will dance tomorrow.
   Ella bailará mañana.

3. They will visit the park.
   Ellos visitarán el parque.

4. We will learn English.
   Nosotros aprenderemos inglés.

1. I won’t read a book.
   Yo no leeré un libro.

2. She won’t dance tomorrow.
   Ella no bailará mañana.

3. They won’t visit the park.
   Ellos no visitarán el parque.

4. We won’t learn English.
   Nosotros no aprenderemos inglés.
