Finding the unit rate

Reminder on how to find the unit rate.....

First, find what two quantities are being addressed in the problem.
Example: miles and hour; price and pounds; apples to oranges
Second, set up either a proportion or a ratio (a fraction)
Example: 45 miles for every 3 hours--> 45miles/3hours
Third, you need to divide so the denominator is a 1
Example: 45 miles/3hours=> 15 miles/hour
