What is soil?

• stuff you find in the water
• magma found in a volcano
• something that is great to eat for a snack

What is soil horizon?

• an area of the ground only found on the plant Mars
• different layers of the Earth
• the area on top of a mountian
• Each layer of the soil

What is Humus?

• something scientist found on the planet Mercury
• a great snack to eat on crackers
• the bottom layer of subsoil
• part of the soil that is made up of decayed organic materials

Topsoil? 

• A great new shampoo for your hair
• located at the upper level of the soil horizon, where most plant roots grow.
• The very bottom of the soil horizon where very little nutrients are found
• Something found on the dwarf planet Pluto

Subsoil? 

• less humus is found and more fine rock particles. found in the middle of the soil horizon.
• the upper layer of the soil horizon
• the bottom layer of the soil horizon
• Found exclusively at Macy's

Bedrock? 

• is found in the middle layer of the soil horizon.
• made mostly of larger pieces of weathered rock, and located in the bottom of the soil horizon.
• Found at the top of a tree
• is part of the upper layer of the soil horizon

What is a nonrenewable resource? 

• The sun and the wind are examples
• Not capable of being used again.
  Energy sources that can't be replenished and reused
• A resource that can be used again and is easily replinished
• Items for sale in the $1 bin at Target.

What are some examples of renewable resources?

What are renewable resources? 

• Capable of being used again, Energy sources that can be replenished and do not run out
• Using a resource wisely so it won't be used up
• Not capable of being used again,Energy sources that can't be replenished and reused again.
• Resources that have not been located on Earth yet.
