One of the first things to do to prepare for a job interview is to

• plan how to spend your first paycheck.
• ask for a formal offer letter.
• send a follow-up letter.
• research the company.

What is an example of positive body language?

• the noises your body makes
• wearing conservative clothing
• avoiding eye contact
• good posture

One way to prepare for questions the interviewer might ask you is to

• ask your friend to suggest possible questions.
• anticipate questions you might be asked & write down answers.
• call & ask for a copy of the questions you will be asked.
• contact the human resources department and request assistance.

Before inviting a candidate in for an in-person interview, many employers conduct 

• a job interview
• a phone screen
• research
• job-specific answers

It is a good idea at an interview to

• bring a tape recorder.
• wear your most expensive jewelry.
• dress conservatively.
• take along a snack in case you get hungry.

During the interview process, when would you send a thank you letter?

• before the interview
• when you submit your resume
• at the interview
• immediately following the interview

IF you don't understand a question an interviewer asks,

• pretend you did not hear it
• ask him or her to clarify it.
• give details that show you think clearly.
• explain why you would be right for the company.

If you have to reject a job offer because it isn't what you wanted,

• say no at the interview to save the employer time
• do not call the interviewer back
• call bank, thank the interviewer, & give a reason for your answer.
• call the interviewer & let them know you would never work for them.

If you are offered a job at the interview, you

• can ask for a day to think it over.
• should negotiate for a higher salary.
• should say yes immediately so the employer won't offer the job to someone else.
• should ask for the company's press kit or annual report.
