How do you know what to write your essay about?

• There is a question in the prompt
• You get to choose what you write about
• There is a background sentence in the prompt
• You don't have to write the essay

In the prompt, there are usually bullet points.  What should those bullet points be in your essay?

• Your introduction
• The body paragraphs
• Your conclusion
• Your thesis statement

What is text evidence?

• Answers to a question
• The passage in your own words
• The words in the passage
• The words in the passage you use to show where you got your answer

What is the purpose of a conclusion paragraph?
