x³ + 3x² - 4x - 12

• 6x(4x²+3x-1)

2x² + 17x + 21 = 0

• x= ^-21/₂, -17
• x= ²/₃, 16

Solve
8n² + 10n - 3 = 0

• n = ^-1/₈, ¹⁰/₃
• n = ⁴/₅, - 2
• n = ¹/₄, ^-3/₂
• n = 2, -12

Solve by factoring:  4x² - 25 = 0

• x = 2/5 and

  x = -2/5

• x = 5/4 and

  x = -5/4

• x = 5/2 and

  x = -5/2

• x = 5 and x = -4

7x² - 26x - 8 = 0

• x = -1 and x = -7/8
• x = 4 and x = -2/7
• x = -4 and x = 2/7
• x = 4 and x = -7/2
