Plot

The first part of plot is the exposition that includes:

• The setting and rising action
• The setting, conflict and characters
• The resolution and falling action

What does the rising action include?

• Major events that lead to the turning point
• The message about life
• How the conflict is solved

Climax is 

• highest point of intensity in the story where the characters change
• The setting of the story where the story takes place
• the falling action where the characters tie up loose ends

What did the Marta learn or the theme from her grandfather's lecture?

• Life is too short to worry about not getting a jacket
• If something is called a scholarship, it should be rewarded and not paid for 
• Fight for what you believe in
