ITE Ch5 Windows Installation

We will soon be installing Windows 7 on our PCs. What do you think might be the first step in the process to install an Operating System?

• When the computer starts up, watch for the message Press any key to boot from CD or DVD, the press any key to do so.
• Boot the computer and wait until the current Operating System loads.
• Insert the Windows 7 installation DVD into the DVD-ROM drive or plug the USB flash drive into a USB port.
• Replace the hard drive.

If the picture of the screen shown does not show up, what might happen?

•  the computer automatically starts loading files from the DVD.
