Diagnostic Medical Sonography differs from the Radiologic Technology Program in that:

• Sonography uses sound waves instead of x-rays
• Medical Sonography is a shorter program than Radiography
• The RADT program has been in existence for 20 years and the Medical Sonography program has been around for 6 months
• The radiology program is available in the valley and the sonography program isn't available here
