How do artists use the Elements of Art and Principles of Design to create art?

• Elements are building blocks and Principles are not necessary
• The Principles help organize the Elements for specific effects.
• Without them, there is no art.

What is line?

• A straight edge
• What you put onto paper
• The path of a moving point through space.
• Zig zag, wavy, straight, loopy

What is shape?

• A 2D area that is defined in some way.
• Square, Circle, Triangle
• Cube, Sphere, Pyramid
• A 3D form

What is simulated texture?

• An object you can actually feel.
• A form of texture that  is true, physical texture.
• The way an object feels.
• An object whose surface imitate real texture.

Define texture.

• Drawing an object to make it look like the texture it actually is.
• The way an object looks like it would feel.
• Refers to how things feel, or look as if they might feel if  touched.
  

What is space?

• The area above the earth's atmosphere that contains the universe.
• The emptiness or area between, around, above, below, or  within objects.
  
• Shows distance in artworks.

What is value?

• The lightness or darkness of an object.
• The worth of something.
• How much emphasis is placed on an object or artwork.

What is the difference between shape and form?

• Shape defines an edge, while form defines a surface.
• Shapes are cubes/squares, circles/spheres
• All of the other answers are correct
• Shape is two dimensional and form is 3 dimensional

Define form.

• Form is 2 dimensional, such as in drawings and paintings
• Form is the shape something takes when sculpted.
• Objects having 3 dimensions

What is color?
