What is binary?

Why do computers use binary?

• Because there are 10 different possibilities of numbers.

• As there are only two different states (0 or 1), it is easier to use.

• This is thinking like a human.
• Binary logic is where something is either true or false.

What is a logic gate?

• It is a tiny electrical switch inside the processor.
