Habitats of the World Review

My temperatures stay cold throughout the year. I do not get a lot of rainfall, but the ground stays frozen all year long. Part of the year, it is daytime all the time and the other part of the year it is nighttime all the time. Lichens and mosses grow well here. You will see polar bears roaming about. You may also see seals and penguins.

I am a hot humid climate with a lot of rainfall. My canopy receives a lot of sunlight, but my floor only gets filtered light. There is an abundant amount of trees here and many vines. You can find birds, frogs, monkeys, and snakes here.

I am a cool to warm habitat, depending on where I am located. I have abundant light and a medium amount of rainfall. My land is full of tall grasses. Prairie dogs, bison, and grasshoppers live here.

I am a cold to warm habitat, depending on where I am located. I receive a medium amount of rainfall each year. I have an abundant amount of light in my canopy, but less light on the floor because it is filtered through my trees. I have trees with leaves and needles, ferns, grasses, and bushes growing all around. Many birds, foxes, rabbits, bears, and deer live here.

I am a cool to warm habitat, depending on where I am located. I am extremely salty. You can find lots of light at my surface, but the deeper you go the darker it gets. Plankton love living here, as well as, jellyfish, whales, and sharks.

We are cold to warm habitats, depending on where we are located. The water here is brackish (partially salty). We have abundant light on our surface, but light gets filtered through the water. We have trees and shrubs around us, as well as, cordgrass. Crabs, shrimp, water birds, and snails love living here.

We are cold to warm habitats, depending on where we are located. Our freshwater fills the lands. We have lots of light at our surface, but less light as you go deeper. Algae and shallow water grasses grow here. Fish, amphibians, ducks, and turtles live here.

We are cold to warm habitats depending on where we are. Our freshwater flows freely. We have abundant light on our surface, but light gets filtered through the water. Bushes and trees grow along our banks. You can find a variety of fish living in us, along with crayfish, snakes, and insects.

I am a warm to hot habitat. I have freshwater and the light is filtered through the trees around me. Cypress trees, ferns, and water lilies love living here. You may see alligators, water birds, or turtles while you are riding around in this habitat.
