Computer Networking Fundamentals

*Is an engineering discipline that aims to study and analyze the communication process among various computing devices or computer systems that are linked, or networked, together to exchange information and share resources.

*Is a collection of connected devices, such as computers, laptops, printers, servers, and mobiles devices, that can communicate and share resources with each other

This involves wireless devices having access to the network wirelessly

A type of network that has connectivity over large geographical area

Type of network where devices can communicate with each other inside your network in a short and limited distance

Is the network of networks where the connectivity spans globally

Is a specialized networking device connected to two or more networks running software that allows the router to move data from one network to another.

Is a device that channels incoming data from any of multiple input ports to the specific output port that will take the data toward its intended destination.

This protects a computer network from unauthorized access. It might be a hardware device, software program, or a combination of the two.

Is a type of cabling that is used for telephone communications and most modern Ethernet networks. A pair of wires forms a circuit that can transmit data.
