How many books are you allowed to check out?

I need to save my place in my library books. What should I do?

• Fold over the corner of the page.
• Stick my pencil inside the book.
• Use a bookmark.
• Just leave the book open, but flip it over so the spine is facing up.

If you find a book off the shelf and can't remember where it goes, what should I do?

• Just put it somewhere, I think it goes.

• Set it on the shelf

• Put it in the return bin.

• Leave it on the floor.

What tool in the library can you use to hold your place of a book on the shelf?

• A shelf marker.
• Another book.
• A pencil.
• A ruler.

When is it okay to go behind the front desk (where Mrs. Avilla and Mrs. Flynn sit?

• When I am checking the cart for a book I may want to check out.

• When I have a question.

• When I want to checkout my own book.

• When I just want to hang out with Mrs. Avilla or Mrs. Flynn.

When are you not allowed to checkout new books?

• You have a lost book.

• You have not returned a library book.

• You already have your book limit checked out.

• All of these reasons.

When you bring something to the library , what should you do?

• Quietly, go to the front desk to return books or get help you need.

• Go wherever you want

• Say hi to the class that Mrs. Flynn is with

• Wander around the library looking at books.

When should you return your library books?

• Put them in your return bin when you get to library or in your classroom return bin if you have one.

• Go back to class and get them during library time.

• The next day because you forgot them AGAIN!

When you come into library you should...

• Ask Mrs. Avilla if you returned your books.

• Go ask Mrs. Flynn where a book is you want to checkout.

• Sit in the center until Mrs. Flynn gives you directions.

• Go try to find the book you want to checkout.

If you want to talk to your friend but they are on the other side of the library, you should...

• Call them to come over.

• Walk over and talk to them (if this is an okay time to talk.)

• Run to them, screaming their name on the way.

• There is absolutely no talking in the library.
