A narrative is a form of writing, ALWAYS written by one of the characters in the writing piece. This narrator/character WILL ALWAYS be writing about one of his/her conflicts (situation or event). A conflict can be either internal (inside the mind or emotions of the character/narrator) or external (exited of the mind or emotions of the character/narrator). So, with this brief review, identify the "narrative structure" (elements/pieces/parts of the narrative).

• Incident, response, reflection

• plot, setting, theme

• simile and metaphor to give descriptive image
