John went running up the stairs to his room. He was so mad at his parents. They told him that he couldn’t go to the park with his friends because he didn’t complete his homework. “This is so unfair. My parents never let me do anything fun!” John screamed.

“Yes! It’s finally here!” I ran down the stairs in excitement as the mailman delivered the package I’ve been waiting forever for. “Mom! Look! My new drum set arrived!” I tore open the package and couldn’t wait to set it up.

We were walking home from school when we first saw it. “Did you see that flash?” Sarah exclaimed? She was the first one to jump when it happened. “Yeah, I don’t know what that could have been,” I said as we started walking a little faster. Feeling nervous, we heard a loud bang which made us jump out of our skin and start to run the rest of the way home.

Wilbur never forgot Charlotte. Although he loved her children and grandchildren dearly, none of the new spiders ever quite took her place in his heart. She was in a class by herself. It is not often that someone comes along who is a true friend and a good writer. Charlotte was both.

I always look forward to summer vacation. It is an exciting time for me. I get to spend time traveling and visiting family. They are excited to see me, and love spending extra time with me. I enjoy going to the beach and reading some new books in the summer. It is the best time of the year!
