Two students want to use the same playground equipment (balls, jump rope, swings, glider), what do you do?

• Run away with the equipment both students get in trouble, and then no-one gets to play with equipment.

• Take turns with the equipment (go to another piece of equipment first, and then come back and use the equipment you wanted), take 2-3 minutes each on equipment

What do you do when you are working on a group Science project together and everyone wants to the do the same job?

• Everyone in the group talks about what they want to do, and then make a decision before the work starts who does each role (take turns with certain roles)

• Scream and yell, threaten to tell the teacher on them, and just give up and don’t do anything.

What do you do when you want the same book from the library as someone else does?

• You could ask librarian if they have another copy of it. If not, take turns, one person has it one week and other person has it the next week.

• Whine and complain to your teacher that you can’t get the book you want.

You want to use the same computers/iPads as another student and there are no other computers/iPads, what do you do?

• Just take computer from person and then the person takes it from you, and then you take it back, and then you drop it because you are fighting over it.

• If you are learning or doing the the same thing, use it together. If you are working on different things, take turns (use a timer to keep track of the time person).

At recess a group of students are having a hard time playing basketball with kindness. What do you do?

• Push somebody and call them a mean name, and throw the basketball at them.

• Choose a referee, and have the referee make fair calls. If you still can’t work it out, rock, paper, scissor for who gets the ball.

Two students are not sharing materials in ART class, what would you do?

• One person uses the material for 5 minutes, and the other person uses for 5 minutes. While you are waiting, you can plan what you will do when you get material.

• Color on the person who is using the materials you wanted.

You are playing football with your friends and everyone gets into an argument about a play. What do you do?

• Change the rules during the middle of the game, and brag when you win.

• Talk about rules before game, let everyone have a say and have fun.

• Spend one hour watching movie, spend one hour playing game.

You are trying to fall asleep but your brother/sister is listening to music loudly in the room next to yours. What do you do?

• Just pretend it doesn’t bother you.

• Ask them to put on their headphones and listen to the music as loud as they want to, and then you can sleep or ask them to close their door, and you close your door.

The class just finished a group activity and supplies are everywhere. You can’t leave for recess until it is all cleaned up, but you have already cleaned up your mess. What do you do?

• Help other people even though you’re finished cleaning up. Also can ask your classmates who also finished cleaning up their mess to help.

• Tell your classmates that you finished cleaning up your mess, now they need to clean up their own mess
