• The moon is the center. The sun and earth orbit the moon

Earth's rotation

• 365 for earth to rotate

• 1 whole year for the Earth to rotate once

• Takes 24 hours/1 day for Earth to rotate. This causes half the Earth to have day, the other half to have night

Inner planets

• Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars. They are smaller, warmer, closer to Sun, rocky surfaces.

• Jupiter Saturn Uranus Neptune. They are bigger and further from the Sun

• Plutom Deios, Phoebos

Outer planets

• Gas Giants. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune. They are bigger, colder, further from SUN, made of gas. Longer to orbit sun because they are far away

• Mercury, Venus, Earth Mars. Closer and warmer

• Jupiter, Venus, Saturn Neptune

• Jupiter Saturn Neptune Pluto

Asteroid Belt

• Separates the planets and sun

• Separates the inner and outer planets. It is between Mars and Jupiter

• Orbits the planets

Has 8 phases and it takes about 29 days to revolve, It is a ROCK so it does not produce its own light
