Ice-cream is a delicious frozen treat that comes in a many different colors and flavors.  Two of my favorite flavors are strawberry and chocolate.  Though both of these flavors are delicious, strawberry may contain pieces of fruit while chocolate usually will not.  Even though more chocolate ice-cream is sold across the country annually than strawberry, each flavor tastes great inside of a milk shake.

You may not know who Mark Zuckerberg is but I bet you know about Facebook. Zuckerberg and his roommates launched Facebook from their college dormitory at Harvard. Facebook started off as just a "Harvard thing," but Zuckerberg and roommates spread it to other universities like Stanford, Dartmouth, and NYU. As Facebook grew in size and popularity, Zuckerberg took investments but resisted buyout offers. The founders maintained control and in 2012 Facebook became a publically traded company. Today Facebook is one of the world’s most popular websites and Zuckerberg is the CEO. Facebook has over one billion users and Zuckerberg is one of the 25 richest people in America. That’s not too bad for a college dropout.

Thomas Edison became known as "The Wizard of Menlo Park" in 1877, when he invented the phonograph. Edison's phonograph allowed people to record sounds and replay them. Though this technology was unimpressive by today's standards—his recordings would only play few times and the sound quality was poor— back then Edison’s device appeared to be magical. That's why people called Edison "The Wizard of Menlo Park," because they suspected him of witchcraft.

Some dogs and cats do not have homes. People started animal shelters to take care of these animals and solve the problem of homeless animals. At the shelters, dogs and cats get food and water. They get to play with other dogs and cats. Sometimes, people bring a lost animal to the shelter. Some of these dogs and cats get a new home! People come to animal shelters to get a new pet. what type of text structure is this?

Wild chimpanzees are rapidly disappearing. Some people are trying to solve this problem. Otherwise, chimpanzees may one day exist only in zoos. People are trying to save the rain forests and woodlands where the chimps live from being cut down. It will take many people working together to solve this problem. what is the problem?

Every year, thousands of car accidents occur because of drivers distracted by their phones. Safe drive Corporation developed a product that will disable cell phones inside a car, and many people feel this product will help save lives.  What is  the problem and solution?

How do mountains like these disappear? The process begins with rain. As it rains, water seeps through cracks and joints in the stone. Chemicals in the water dissolve small grains of rock. Later on, the water freezes and thaws, prying loose bigger pieces of rock. These rocks grind against other rocks as they slide downhill. The wind carries away particles of dust behind by these grinding rocks. In the end it can be said that wind, water, and gravity have hauled away these mountains.

The earth's crust is made up mostly of hard, rocky substances, though some of these substances have crumbles into dirt from years of exposure to wind and rain and roots of plants. That crust is many miles thick (though the part under the ocean is thinner than the part on land). Underneath the crust is a layer called the mantle. The mantle is about 1,800 miles thick. Below the mantle is the earth's core, which is made up of two layers called the inner core and the outer core.

A fuel cell is a kind of battery. It makes electricity. One side of the cell is filled with hydrogen. The other is filled with oxygen that comes from the air. The hydrogen separates into electrons and protons. The electrons supply the power for the motor. The protons mix with the oxygen to make water. The water passes out of the cell.
