• There is no homework

Which is the correct grading policy for this class?

• Dual Credit: 70% Major / 30% Minor

• Dual Credit: 80% Major / 20% Minor

• Dual Credit: 60% Major / 40% Minor

• Dual Credit: 50% Major / 50% Minor

Learning badges are -

• only for dual credit students.

• optional and used only if you need extra credit.

• are required for all students and counted as a major grade.

If you need help on homework -

• it is your responsibility to figure it out.

• ask on the day it is due.

• Come to SMART lunch or tutorials before/after school. Never struggle alone!

If a student is in dual credit -

• they earn credit for completing a college English class each semester they pass, saving $1000 per semester ($2000/year)

• can only attend Angelo State when they graduate.

• must take a national exam to earn college credit.

The materials that must be brought to class everyday include -

• composition notebooks and highlighters

• markers, post it notes, and notebook paper

• digital device, charger, and writing utensils

If you are absent -

• ask the teacher for your missing work.

• most of our work is on Schoology, but also check the While You Were Out Folder.

• you don't have to make up your work

If you are absent -

• You have the number of days absent, plus one, to make up work (including assessments).

• You will receive a zero for any work missed.

• you will turn your make-up work in your regular class tray.

One of the college expectations is -

• submitting work on time; late work is not accepted.

• taking weekly major exams.

• scheduling monthly progress conferences with the teacher.
