• The part of the picture plane that appears closest to you

• The ground that the rest of the picture is built upon

How are lines used in order to create a "one point perspective" in a picture?

• Lines are drawn diagonally towards a "vanishing point"

• Lines are drawn straight and get progressively more narrow in order to seem farther away
