The default file extension assigned to Word 2016 documents.

• .template

• .doxc

• .pdf

Save in this format when you open the file in another location with previous versions of Word.

• save a file as the Word PDF

• save a file as .doxc

• save a file as the Word 97-2003 file format

When you save a document for the first time, this tab displays in Backstage. It also lets you verify the location of where the file is being saved.

If you _________ a file, you can then format the contents of it in Word as it is plain text.

Opening a PDF file in Word :

• Word will then confirm it will convert the file into a Word format

• Word will decline the request of opening the PDF

• Word will open the PDF as a picture in View-Only mode

• File Type of the document
