Climate zone where the equator is located. It is very warm, which causes more water to evaporate and the air to often be moist resulting in dense cloud cover.

Climate zone where the average temperatures are much cooler than the subtropics. The seasons and day length differ significantly over the course of a year. The climate is characterized by less frequent extremes, a more regular distribution of the precipitation over the year, and a longer vegetation period.
