What is a primary source?

What is a secondary source?

• A source used often
• A source created after an event has happened by someone not present at the event
• a second piece of information written about an event
• A source created at the time of an event.

Secondary source documents are all of the following EXCEPT:

• An analysis of primary sources or events
• Interpretations of original documents
• Sources created later by someone who did not participate in the event
• Original materials
