What kind of prompt is this? Indian socialist Bhagat Singh spent most of his life fighting for freedom and social justice. He argues, “Revolution is an inalienable right of mankind. Freedom is an imperishable birth right of all. Labor is the real sustainer of society.” What is freedom? What does freedom cost? Is freedom worth the fight?  In an essay, use the events from the Russian Revolution to answer these questions. Explain how the revolution in Animal Farm is similar to the Russian Revolution.

What kind of prompt is this? After completing your annotations on the two articles we read in class, which article do you agree with more? Based on the evidence and claims you found in both of these articles you will create your own claim on the subject, and then produce a single page paragraph using the elements of argument we searched for in the articles. You must use evidence from one of the articles we read and a single credible outside source. By the end of your paragraph you must include an example of ethos, logos, and a refutation.

What type of prompt is this? In the novel Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson, duality causes conflict for many of the characters. Is Mr. Utterson the person he wants to be?
